Summer time in Japan is fireworks season (Hanabi), Which is so much better that standing in the freezing cold winter like in the UK.
One of the biggest is a battle of the firework companies on the last Saturday in July.
I was not prepared for the amount of people that came out to watch these fireworks and everyone dressed up in beautiful Yukata for the occasion.
We didn’t get a very good spot to watch the fireworks due to roads being closed so we were kind of ushered by police into a spot.
everyone sits on the closed roads with their sheets to sit on fans in hand as it’s so hot and with street food like yaki soba.
Even though the view of the fireworks was not the best the atmosphere was amazing.
